Email to Taught Postgraduate Graduands (7 March 2022)
Subject: Arrangements for the 206th Congregation
We are writing in response to your concern about mainland job recruitment following the receipt of the Registrar’s email notifying the arrangements for the 206th Congregation.
We fully understand the said concern addressed by the majority of the Mainland taught postgraduate graduands, not only from our faculty but also from other faculties of the University, which we considered genuine and relevant for further consideration. After much deliberation among the faculties and the Registrar at a meeting, it is decided that faculties be allowed to exercise the flexibility to organize the congregation only for the Class of 2022 TPg graduands under special circumstances.
In view of the above resolution, we are pleased to announce that the Faculty decided to defer the 206th Congregation for the Class of 2022 taught postgraduate graduands to December 2022. Details of the arrangements will be announced in due course. If you have any questions about this one-off special arrangement, please write to us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org by March 14, 2022.
